When you enter our large Atrium area you will see the Children's Ministry welcome center.  Greeters will give you a welcome packet and explain to you the appropriate class for your child.  They will help direct you or escort you to the  check in area for your child.

You may choose to either sign in as a visitor or fill out the family registration card. 

NURSERY - Infants and toddlers alike will feel loved and cared for in our clean, well staffed nursery area.  Children begin to learn very young that God loves them and that they are special.  The area is staffed by consistent paid workers and many qualified volunteer staff.

Children are moved developmentally in our nursery area.  Parents and staff together make the decisions concerning the appropriate time to change rooms.   Some decisions about the moving of classes is determined by the number of children in the next room. The nursery area consists of four rooms that are well stocked with age-appropriate toys. 

Infants:  Infants enjoying swings, rocking and sleeping.  Children who are sitting well, crawling, beginning walkers, and happy playing on the floor.

Walkers:  Children walking without help.  Secure and steady walkers.

Toddlers:  Advanced walkers, approximately 18 – 24 months. We provide age appropriate activities, Bible stories, songs and prayer time.

Older Toddlers:  24 months and older. We provide age-appropriate activities, Bible stories, songs and prayer time for all children.

Children who are three by September 1st are moved to the three's (preschool) class  in the fall of each year. 

You can feel confident we have a safe and secure check-in/out procedure. When you check in your child in the nursery for the first time you will be asked to fill out an information card on your child.  Then you will be asked to sign in on an attendance sheet.  At that time you will be given a pager which is able to locate you anywhere on the BCC campus.   If the nursery staff thinks your child needs your attention, they will page you.  Your pager will vibrate.  Please come to the nursery as soon as you get your page.  When you pick up your child, you will return the pager to the nursery staff. 

PRESCHOOL - (3 years through Kindergarten) - Preschool age will experience the Bible stories in language and activities that they can understand.   Classes are provided for all weekend services for preschool age children.  Each class time includes:  

• Active learning activities
• Worship through songs and prayers
• Appropriate Bible teaching using Gospel Light curriculum
• Snack time
• Creative crafts

When you sign your child into class, the person signing in the child will be given a number card with a security number on it that must be returned to the check out area to pick up the child.  If the number card is lost, those desiring to pick up the child must show personal identification to the children's ministry coordinator.
