The Homeschool Group exists to support and encourage homeschool families at Beaverton Christian Church and in the Washington County area. Group meetings are every Friday of the month. Field trips are planned once a month as well as occasional parties and service opportunities.

homeschool science class

• Are you looking for a way to supplement your child's science education through interesting, hands-on, experiment based classes?
  
• Do you want your child to learn science from a Christian educator who is sensitive to creationism and other spiritual matters?

Our Christian-based homeschool classes are offered by Oregon Education Alternatives, a local, family owned business.  The science classes are taught by Kim Karper, an award winning Oregon certified instructor.  The classes are created to fit the needs of homeschool families and focus on Oregon Benchmark materials.  They are filled with fun science experiments, activities and group projects.

Classes offered this year include:

• Science Inquiry - The Chemistry of Bubbles (September - October)
• Explore Your World!  Marine Biology (October - December)
• Cells - God's Amazing Building Blocks (January - February)
• Up... Up and Away!  The Physics of Rockets (April - May)

Please join with us and other involved parents to help our children build a strong foundation of knowledge for life.
