The apostle Paul wrote: “The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body-- whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free-- and we were all given the one Spirit to drink” (1 Corinthians 12:12-13). We take these verses seriously in the Student Ministries at Beaverton Christian Church. We believe that middle school and high school students who have repented of sin and trusted Christ are indwelt by the Holy Spirit and are part of the Body of Christ. They are not the church of tomorrow; they are part of the church today. This reality impacts how we carry out ministry and come alongside students to help them grow to maturity in Christ.
In order to help our students and their families live out these truths, we provide various opportunities for students to engage in the “body life” of Beaverton Christian Church.
- As part of the church family, we believe it is vital for students to worship with the larger body of Christ in the main worship service. This is our top priority for students during our weekend services. Students are welcome at both the 9:15 and 11:00 worship services on Sunday mornings.
- For students that have attended the 9:15 service, we offer our youth café at 11:00. The café is a place where students gather together for singing led by our student ministries worship band and break up into small groups to discuss the sermon preached in the main worship service. These discussion groups are divided by age and gender and aim at guiding students in the understanding and application of the sermon.
- We also encourage students and families looking to serve to pursue openings in various ministries of the church, such as volunteering in a class in the Children’s Ministry.

We believe that as students connect and engage with the whole church family at Beaverton Christian Church, they will become life-long disciples of Jesus who glorify God and reach the world for Christ.
