Serving is an important part of body life in the church and something that Jesus modeled for us.  Jesus came not to be served but to serve.  Below are some opportunities for service in our BCC family...

High School Ministry
Counselors Needed
Seeking those who would like to serve with the High School Ministry by being part of the work crew (food service) for Winter Camp February 13-16.

Children's Ministry
The following are some volunteer opportunities for Children's Ministry. Instruction and training are provided for all positions. Contact children@bcc.org or phone 503.646.2151 x 229.

Check In Team
Day of the week: Sunday, 30 minutes; 15 minutes before service time until 15 minutes into service.
Tasks: Greet children & visitors. Help them register and/or check in using our Shelby Check-In system. Direct them to their classes.

Craft Helpers, Curriculum Sorters, Teacher Appreciation
Day of the week: You choose your time. Amount of time varies according to task.
Tasks: Varies with job, but these can be done at home according to your schedule and our needs.

Discipleland Tech Team
Days of the week: Sunday. Rotating schedule.
Tasks: Run the technical equipment for Discipleland using computer, projectors & EZ Worship.

Grade Coordinator
Day of the week: Sunday, 11 am service. Also, possible 30 minutes "during the week" for recruiting and prep. Application, references, background check, and risk mgmt training required.
Tasks: Help provide leadership to weekend Bible classes. Recruit teachers and provide leadership to support the teaching team. Provide input in curriculum, resource material and supplies needed for teachers.

Intern
Day of the week: Sunday and weekly schedule arranged with Director of Children's Ministry. 10-15 hours/wk.
Tasks: On the job training for students interested in a career in Children's Ministry. Application, references, background check and risk mgmt training required. College credit may be available in some cases.

Office Team
Day of the week: Weekdays. Time varies according to your schedule and our needs.
Tasks: Help on a regular basis in the Children's Ministry office with various activities and projects to support the Ministry.

Friendship Ministry
Traffic Ambassadors
Serves prior to and following worship services and special events; welcome guests; directs traffic; and provides assistance to guests to and from the Worship Center. They also serve as secuirty for the building and parking lots.

Coffee Team
Brew and deliver coffee to the Atrium on Sunday mornings for both services. Serve once or twice a month.

Worship and Ministering Arts Ministry
Communion
Seeking volunteers to serve once a month to help prepare communion on Sunday mornings.

Tape Ministry
Record and reproduce the weekly sermons. Serve once a month.
